Heian Jingu Shrine is known as a famous cherry blossom spot in Kyoto and is located in the northern part of Kyoto City.

The torii gate in front of Heian Shrine is as tall as 24 meters.
It stands out even from a distance, and its vermilion color is incredibly beautiful.

The main hall, called Daigokuden, was reconstructed in 1895.
It is a restoration of a building that originally existed over 1,200 years ago, featuring beautiful red pillars and a green roof.

Surrounding the main hall is the Shin’en Garden, where cherry blossoms bloom in spring.
This scenery is a symbol of Kyoto’s spring, attracting many tourists.
This garden is a paid area, but if you visit Heian Shrine during the cherry blossom season, it is a must-see.
