Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is located in the northern part of Kyoto City, near Kinkakuji Temple and Hirano Shrine.
You can go there by Kyoto City Bus or Randen (Keifuku Railway), but it is inconvenient to get there from Kyoto Station.

However, every year in February and March, plum blossoms bloom and are very beautiful.
It’s a little far, but I always visit there every year because it is so beautiful!

The plum tree was a very favorite flower of a scholar named Sugawara Michizane, and many plum trees are planted at shrines named Tenmangu Shrine.
